Heavy-duty shaper/sanders help speed up production.

For consistent quality edge profiling, look no further than the Lobo CS-1C2S (one shaper and two sanders) or CS-2C2S (two shapers and two sanders).

The Lobo Shape-and-Sand machine has a heavy-duty cast-iron base and sheet metal frame. It is equipped with two rows of top spring pressure rolls with conveyer tank belts. The 2-hp frequency control variable-speed feeding conveyor and 6-in.-wide rubber pads help ensure hold-down during the cutting and sanding process. A rolling side table can be extended up to 36 in. for supporting large pieces, such as entry doors. Optional tilting heads are suitable for different profile angles.

Also available are an optional floating head for arch cutting and an auto jumping head for reverse to against-grain smooth cutting. Other features include 6-in. spindles for stackable tooling, and quick and easy setup. The shaper head is fitted with a heavy-duty 7-1/2-hp motor, with speeds from 6,000 to 8,000 rpm. In-and-out, up-and-down mechanical digital position readout offers fast reference.

The sanding head has a zero to 6,000 rpm variable speed, which is frequency controlled. It is flexible enough for use with all kinds of sanding wheels, including brush wheels, profile wheels, sponge wheels, profile discs, pneumatic drums and more.

An optional automatic sanding wheel compensation device is available for mass production. The precision fence is adjusted with digital readout. Best of all, it allows for the mass production of raised panel or profile edge jobs.
