A new line of heavy-duty gate cutters that combine strength with economy is offered by IMS Co., Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The handheld cutters are drop-forged from alloy steel and then precision machined with sharp, durable edges. The cutters are available with flat or rounded-back blades. The 5-in. and 6-in. models have bow-style handles while the 6-in. and 7-in. flat-back cutters come with left- or right-hand handles or adjustable blade stop. Prices range from $5.75 to $12.50.
