Heat-Timer provides control demos at AEA's emergency training center.

It just got easier for New York building owners and energy professionals to achieve more energy efficient buildings thanks to a new alliance between Heat-Timer Corporation and the Association of Energy Affordability (AEA).

Heat-Timer, a local manufacturer of electronic HVAC/R and plumbing controls for over 70 years, has provided a number of its Platinum Series Controls to the AEA's new Energy Management Training Center, located at 105 Bruckner Blvd. in the Port Morris neighborhood of the Bronx.

The Training Center, which provides hands-on training, includes two boilers, a wireless building control lab, and several classrooms. Working demos of Heat-Timer controls help building owners and operators, and performance contractors learn to monitor and control boiler systems more efficiently.

The AEA, in cooperation with partners like Heat-Timer, offers technical training to individuals who are interested in improving the performance of their buildings.

It is a not-for-profit organization committed to the principle of using energy efficiency to maintain affordable and healthy housing for low and moderate-income communities.

The AEA and its collaborating organizations promote these principles on a community, state, and nationwide level.
