The Surgeon General's Call to Action to Prevent and Decrease Overweight Overweight

Among the examples of federal programs and initiatives mentioned in the report is the partnership NRPA NRPA National Recreation and Park Association
NRPA Natural Resources Protective Association (Staten Island, NY)
NRPA Niagara Regional Police Association (Canada)
NRPA National Rifle and Pistol Association
 has with the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of National Institute of Health. The Hearts N' Parks program, which began its pilot year in 2000, is designed to help local agencies promote heart-healthy lifestyle changes and to increase the number of children and adults who engage in healthy behavior. The long-term goal is to decrease the number of people with heart disease.
