Heartland Soccer Association Announces the Acquisition of the Premiership and Champions League.

In the fall of 2006, Heartland and the Premiership jointly created the Champions League, which formed one of the most competitive soccer leagues in the Midwest. A record number of teams, exceeding 200, played in Kansas City's top premier league. Today, the companies have announced the merging of league operations.

All soccer league operations will be relocated to the Heartland Soccer offices in Overland Park, Kansas Overland Park is the second most populous city in the U.S. state of Kansas. It is located in Johnson County, a satellite city of Kansas City, and is near Olathe, Lenexa, Prairie Village and Leawood. In 2006, the estimated population is 167,500.  and will be in place for the upcoming spring soccer season.

Heartland Soccer Association is a non-profit youth soccer association formed to administer the game of soccer. Heartland represents approximately 700 teams, 12,000 youth players, 2,000 coaches and 350 referees in the Kansas City Metropolitan area.

In addition to league play, Heartland conducts the largest soccer tournaments in the state of Kansas and Kansas City including the Toyota Midwest All Girls Tournament, Toyota Heritage Invitational in·vi·ta·tion·al
