Boyd is the owner and principal of Boyd Consulting, which provides short- term, high-impact management consulting. His consulting services include strategic planning, outsourcing consulting, operational assessment reviews, and sales and marketing organization consulting. Boyd's pedigree includes 20 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in information technology for private and public sector companies in numerous industries, including healthcare.

Prior to forming his own company in 2001, Boyd was an executive vice president at Perot Systems Corporation in Dallas. In this position, he had full responsibility for North American North American

 sales and operations, which included overseeing industry verticals focused in healthcare, finance, manufacturing, telecommunications, energy, travel and information technology. During his three and one half year tenure, revenues of this profitable business unit grew at a compounded annual growth rate of more than 25 percent, to comprise over $600 million in revenue, with 4,000 personnel.

From 1994 to 1997, Boyd was vice president/general manager of the Healthcare Group for Perot Systems. He began with the company in 1990, first in a consulting role in the healthcare practice, then as an account executive for Perot's largest healthcare client.
