The Georgia Health Partnership is a coalition of ACS and its business partners, which includes Healthaxis, working with the Georgia Department of Community Health, to develop and implement a state-of-the-art electronic health care administration system that will give patients, doctors and other health care providers easy, secure and efficient access to Medicaid, PeachCare for Kids, State Employee Health Benefits Plan (SHBP SHBP State Health Benefits Program ) and the University System of Georgia The University System of Georgia (USG) is the organizational body that includes all public institutions of higher learning in Georgia. Healthaxis has been selected as the software and services vendor for the Membership Enrollment for Georgia (MEGA) system implementation and support project. ACS selected Healthaxis as a result of an extensive vendor selection process to identify the best solution to replace the current Membership Enrollment Management System.

In addition, Healthaxis and ACS have also entered into a separate partnership arrangement under which Healthaxis may provide similar software and services on future state projects with ACS.

The Healthaxis Insur-Admin system will be implemented as the MEGA system to provide web-based on-line functionality for enrollment, eligibility, billing (such as electronic bill presentment and payment See EBPP. ), reconciliation and accounts receivable accounts receivable n. the amounts of money due or owed to a business or professional by customers or clients. Generally, accounts receivable refers to the total amount due and is considered in calculating the value of a business or the business' problems in paying .

MEGA's goals are to reduce manual workload from the SHBP staff; ensure consistency of processes across all applications; reduce paper-based transactions and associated costs; as well as increase the speed, efficiency and accuracy of enrollment, billing and accounting processes.
