Health care is issue for Valley and beyond.Grocery workers were striking for them. Struggling Actors and Entertainment Industry production folk are begging for them. What is it that everyone wants? Health insurance! What is it that fewer businesses are offering every year, and more individuals need every day? Health insurance! What costs too much, and there's just not enough of it to go around? Health care! Now fully a third of our Valley population goes without health insurance, meaning a third of our Valley population also goes without basic preventative medical care. The hundreds of thousands of uninsured workers and their uninsured families use the costly emergency rooms for routine care, or wait until a routine illness is truly an emergency before seeking any kind of care. They crowd the local emergency rooms and create wait times of over 8 hours on average before a doctor can see them.
