Health Enhancement Products Announces Appointment of Ex-White House Chief of Staff, Hamilton Jordan, to Its Scientific Advisory Board; Jordan to Also Act as a Consultant to the Company.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Health Enhancement Products (OTCBB: HEPI) today announced that Hamilton Jordan has joined its scientific advisory board and become a consultant to the company. Jordan began his career as the youngest White House chief of staff under President Jimmy Carter. He has an extensive background in startup companies, particularly in the medical and biotech sectors. He was given an honorary Ph.D. by the Medical School of Georgia in 2004. He raised $30 million for Medcast, which was sold to WebMD for $200 million in 1998. He is an investor and director in a number of startup companies in the medical area, largely focused on cancer treatment. Two of those companies -- CTI Molecular Imaging and Proxima Therapeutics -- were sold this year. CTI Molecular Imaging was sold to Siemens for $1 billion and Proxima was sold to CYTYC for $200 million. He received the Public Service Award by the American Association of Cancer Researchers in 2002. Jordan has been a private consultant, providing strategic and communications advice to national and International companies such as Nike (NYSE: NKE), Coca Cola (NYSE: KO) and Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT).

Jordan is the founder of the $1 billion Georgia Cancer Coalition. He's on the board of trustees of the American Association of Cancer Researchers Foundation and has been appointed to the National Dialogue on Cancer by President Bush. He's also on the board of directors of the Lance Armstrong Foundation and he's vice chairman of the Van Andel Cancer Institute. Jordan himself is the survivor of four different cancers.

The algae from which ProAlgaZyme is derived produces a protein, most likely as a means of protecting itself from exposure to outside disease and harmful bacteria. The protein solution is then drawn off, filtered, tested and bottled for consumption. In addition to supporting a compromised immune system, recent clinical studies indicate that ProAlgaZyme has potential weight loss properties.
