Head off hatch headaches.

If the hatches are open during operation. you must make sure they're locked open. Otherwise, if the tank stops suddenly, that hatch will come crashing down on your head. If you survive, you've just learned the hard way !

Your tank is considered not mission capable if the hatches or hatch locks are inoperative. Lube the hatches and locks according to the lube order. While you're at it, check for cracks, worn bushings, or other signs that may indicate equipment failure. Then, tell your mechanic if you lind problems.
