Last April, at the 58th annual American Academy of Neurology The American Academy of Neurology (AAN) is a professional society for neurologists and neuroscientists. As a medical specialty society it was established in 1949 by A.B. Baker of the University of Minnesota to advance the art and science of neurology, and thereby promote the best  (AAN AAN American Association of Neurology ) meeting in San Diego, Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding, Jr. received the AAN Foundation's 2006 Public Leadership in Neurology Award for his work in raising public awareness for MS. Gooding was given a $5,000 honorarium which he then generously gave to the Society. President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Joyce Nelson was right there to receive it (the check is in her right hand).
