, was robbed. Two robbers opened fire on restaurant worker Nicholas Perioux.

Perioux reviewed the night's happenings for KPLC KPLC Kenya Power and Lighting Company  Channel 7: "I probably had about 10, maybe 15 bullets shot at me." During the maelstrom of bullets, Perioux grabbed a gun and fired back, hitting one of the criminals with a non-lethal shot to the head. The robbers then fled. The Lake Charles police investigated, and as part of their investigation, they collected blood samples for DNA testing. Almost two years later this DNA DNA: see nucleic acid.

With one wounding shot, a criminal was doomed to be caught. Too bad it took so long. With a little better shooting on Perioux's part, neither robber would have made it out of the store in the first place.
