Haystack Labs, Inc. (HLI), the leading provider of intrusion detection products for Web Servers, networks, and client-server enterprises, today announced the formal launch of the Haystack Authorized Partner (HAP) program, and the signing of 10 channel partners. The addition of these partners, ranging from hardware manufacturers to networking vertical industry VARs, from a master reseller to other software security vendors, reflects the rapidly growing demand for information security solutions based on Haystack Labs' patented misuse detection technologies. The new partners include Sun Microsystems, Peripheral Devices (PDC), Acclaim, and EMJ America.

According to Neil Knox, vice president and general manager of the Internet and networking products group of Sun Microsystems, "Haystack Labs' WebStalker technology is a strong resource for true active security. Its technology goes beyond existing passive systems that put barriers around a network or server in the hope of preventing a break-in. In addition to licensing WebStalker First, a low-end version of the software which is bundled with every Netra 3.1 server, Sun also makes WebStalker Pro available to its customers.

Pricing incentives for channel partners depend upon computer platforms and sales volumes, providing a sliding scale which allows channel partners to continually improve their margins. Base pricing on WebStalker Pro - Unix is $4995, and list for WebStalker-Pro NT is $2995.
