) has acquired two journals, including "The American Journal of Hematology/Oncology" and "Oncology Nursing News," from US Healthcare Communications (Highland Park, NJ). No terms of the deal were given.

"The American Journal of Hematology/Oncology" is published monthly and distributed to a mixed controlled and paid circulation of 46,000 career care professionals, including those in such fields as medical oncology, hematology, pediatric pediatric /pe·di·at·ric/ (pe?de-at´rik) pertaining to the health of children.

Haymarket Media's German unit (Hamburg) has acquired media, advertising and communications magazine "The Kress Report" (Heidelberg), along with its accompanying web site and directory, from founder and publisher Guenther Kress. Haymarket currently publishes "PR Report" for the German market.

Also, Prescribing Reference, Inc. (New York), a unit of Haymarket Media and the publisher of the "Monthly Prescribing Reference" (MPR (MultiProtocol Router) Software from Novell that provides router capabilities for its NetWare servers. It supports IPX, IP, AppleTalk and OSI protocols as well as all the major LANs and WANs. ) series of drug references for medical specialists, has launched "MPR Hematology/Oncology," a quarterly journal that carries information on relevant new pharmaceutical products, FDA news, recalls, treatment, and therapies.

Besides the above mentioned journals, other medical titles produced by Haymarket Media include "Renal & Urology News," "Cortlandt Forum," "Clinical Advisor," "Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants," "McKnight's Long Term Care News" and "Assisted Living."
