Haymarket Medical launches "MPR Long-Term Care".

Haymarket Medical's (New York) Prescribing Reference, Inc. unit has expanded its print "MPR" (Monthly Prescribing Reference) line with the launch of "MPR Long-Term Care," a quarterly magazine with a mixed paid and controlled circulation of 43,000 physicians specializing in long-term care, including medical directors, geriatric psychiatrists, geriatric PAs and nurse practitioners, consultant pharmacists and directors of nursing. An annual subscription costs $32.

Haymarket said the new title provides prescribing information for the range of medical professionals and editorial includes over 1400 product monographs relevant to long-term case, with listing of brand and generic name, manufacturer, class, indications, dose, contraindications, precautions, interactions, adverse reactions and method of supply. It also includes an alphabetical index,, a section index, new product reviews, industry news, therapy and product classification charts, prescribing notes and a manufacturers' index.

"Monthly Prescribing Reference" is a drug reference updated and published monthly. Besides "MPR Long-Term Care," additional references are published for medical professionals in six other specialties: "Physician Assistants' Prescribing Reference," "Nurse Practitioners' Prescribing Reference," "MPR Residents' Edition," "MPR Pediatricians' Edition," "MPR Obstetrician & Gynecologist Edition" and "MPR Urologists Edition."
