Hawaiian multi-modal conference offers training.


Middle managers involved in cargo operations, personal property traffic management and passenger travel have an opportunity to improve their skills at an upcoming workshop.

The 599th Transportation Group and the U.S. Pacific Command are jointly sponsoring their eighth annual Multi-Modal See multimodal.  Traffic Management Training Workshop.

The workshop will be held Oct. 29-Nov. 2 at the Turtle Bay Turtle Bay is the name of the following places:
  • Turtle Bay is a bay in Western Australia, near Broome.
  • Turtle Bay Exploration Park is a recreational park and museum in Redding, California, focusing on wildlife and ecology education.
 Hilton Hil·ton   , Conrad Nicholson 1887-1979.

"The workshop provides the opportunity to bring together Department of Defense traffic managers along with commercial industry transportation personnel from throughout the Pacific Region," said Col. John Bordwell, Commander, 599th Transportation Group.

The theme of this year's conference is "Logistics in Motion--Working Together to Move the Pacific." The workshop will include briefings, demonstrations and training related to Defense Transportation System multi-modal and traffic management issues.
