Many marketers today act as if the success or failure of a direct mail postcard campaign lies on the postcards design itself. They pay little attention to other advantages that postcards offer. Do not get me wrong, having a nice postcards design is important but it is not the end all and be all of why postcards are effective. Here are several traits of postcards that you should take advantage of.

Postcards are versatile
Postcards are mostly used as direct mail marketing materials but they have many uses. You can give them out to people on the streets and even leave them in stacks just like a flyer. Also, there are plenty of things that you can do with your postcards. You can opt for perforated edges or you can change the shape of your postcards through die cutting. Moreover, postcards can be used in any business that you have. It can also be used to convey different images that you want your company to project.

Postcards are very cost effective
Compared to any other marketing materials, printing postcards are very much affordable. They cost less than your posters, brochures and banners. This means that you can create as many postcards as possible. In fact, you can over shoot the estimated amount of prints that you want and yet do not feel the sting of burdening the printing cost.
