Hastings has done an exemplary job in this, his most serious book so far. His interpretations of leaders and events are fresh and thought provoking, and he blends meticulous details with numerous anecdotes and reminiscences of friend and foe Friend and Foe is the third release from the Portland, Oregon-based band Menomena. With ordinary readers always in mind, Hastings's text continually draws the reader along, shifting from one battlefront to another all through the book.
