Harwin, Tetra Group join for projects in NY, Dallas

The Harwin Group of New York and The Tetra Group of Dallas, Texas, have formed The Tetra Harwin Partnership, a joint venture that will perform development, construction management and general contracting work in the New York City and Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The announcement of the joint venture partnership was made by Victor Politis, of The Harwin Group, who said The Tetra Harwin Partnership would bid on, acquire and perform construction management and general contracting work on residential, commercial and industrial properties for the government, private entities and its own account.

He added that The Tetra Harwin Partnership would also promote, initiate and actively participate in programs to provide assistance and expertise to a variety of business enterprises, including small businesses and those owned by women and minorities.

"Harwin and Tetra both have an extensive track record in the development, construction management and general contracting area," said Politis, who noted that The Tetra Harwin Partnership expects to announce several projects in New York and Dallas-Fort Worth imminently.

The Tetra Group is headed by its chairman and CEO Hugh Robinson, a retired major general in the U.S. Army. It was founded in July 1981 as a minority-owned construction management and consulting firm with project offices in Dallas, Miami, Florida and New York.

The firm's program management division provides construction and facilities support management, while its management consulting division offers marketing and program development, financial analysis, and computer and accounting systems review.

The Tetra Group has performed projects for such clients as the Rice Joint Center for Mobility and Research in Houston; the New York State Department of Transportation; the cities of Galveston and Dallas, Texas; the Florida Department of Transportation.
