Hartz Mountain, Ford Motor work on Edison's Lifestyle.


Hartz Mountain Industries Hartz Mountain Industries (HMI) is a private family owned and operated company known for its vast real estate holdings in the New York/New Jersey Metropolitan Area. Its former parent Hartz Mountain Corporation (of pet products fame), was founded by German-American businessman Max  and Ford Motor Company have completed a transaction for the purchase of the site of the former Ford plant in Edison Edison, township (1990 pop. 88,680), Middlesex co., NE N.J., inc. 1870 as Raritan Township, renamed 1954. Edison's varied manufactures include light trucks, chemicals, metal products, electrical and electronic equipment, machinery, and instruments. , N.J., a 100-acre parcel on Route 1, along one of the premier suburban retail thoroughfares in the Northeast.

Hartz Mountain undertook a broad communications program Software that manages the transmission of data between computers, typically via modem and the serial port. Such programs were very popular for connecting to BBSs before the Internet took off.  last year to provide opportunities for Edison residents to express their views on the new development, including public meetings and a developer's website. The company has been in continued discussions with consultants concerning its plans for the site.
