Not only is Massie adjusting to life with Claire, but her social position is being threatened by Nina, clique member Alicia's hot cousin from Spain. When part of Massie's loyal clique stops worshipping her, she plans revenge on Nina. Massie and company humiliate Nina and expose her dirty little secret. The girls come off outwardly as unbelievably sophisticated, with their Manolo Blahnik shoes, highlighted hair, and limitless bank accounts. But when it comes down to it, they're typical junior high girls. They obsess ob·sess v. ob·sessed, ob·sess·ing, ob·sess·es v.tr. Massie's of-tuttered "Ehmagod" and other teenage speech patterns grow tiresome, but for the most part, the writing is consistent and the characters are surprisingly engaging. As usual, the book ends ready for another in the series and even more drama is sure to follow. This series is a good addition to middle school libraries and is more age-appropriate for this group than the Gossip Girl or A-List series. Amanda MacGregor, Boston, MA This is one of the greatest series on book ive ever read and trust me- ive read a lot. This is the type of book in which you just dont wanna let let go. The charactes Massie Claire Alicia Kristen and D... are so believable that i cant help but wishing i was one of them or that im friends with them. I cant wait for the next book to come out. |
