Harris was awarded a $7.2 million contract from the Uzbekistan Ministry of Defense for the supply of Falcon II radios with a view to standardising the country's communications. Under the contract terms, Harris will deliver RF-5800H and -5800V manpack and handheld radios. In an unrelated event, Harris's RF Communications division has received the international standard ISO 9001:2000 certification award from the interntional ISO standards committee.
