Logicon is migrating from Data General's 5420 Series of computers to Harris Computer Systems' Night Hawk family of real-time multiprocessing computers which are built on open architecture and industry standards.

James Harvey, the general manager of the Tactical and Training Systems Operating Unit of Logicon Inc., noted: "We selected the Night Hawk for its powerful real-time capabilities and future upgrade capabilities. The Night Hawk's ability to expand to eight processors, as well as Harris Computer Systems' extensive technical support and plans for a PowerPC upgrade, made it the best choice for our system."

Logicon's open-architecture MULTOTS system is a complete testing and training system for multiple tactical data link operations such as air-, surface- and subsurface-surveillance, electronic warfare/ intelligence, air control, weapons control, link performance monitoring, system information management and force training.

MULTOTS is comprised of a powerful VME-bus-based Night Hawk workstation networked with a server containing interface boards and a printer for hard copy output.
