Hardness test blocks.


Rubber hardness test blocks in five scales, including IRHD IRHD International Rubber Hardness Degree  (macro), IRHD (micro) and durometer Du`rom´e`ter

n. 1. An instrument for measuring the degree of hardness; especially, an instrument for testing the relative hardness of steel rails and the like.

 to resist the aging effects on hardness by temperature and time. The test blocks are for use as a check to ensure that hardness testers of any manufacture are functioning properly and read correctly. Each set is supplied in a wooden box with a test certificate. Each block is identifiable with its hardness value written on the lid of the box. Test blocks are returned to the company every 12 months for re-calibration when a new test certificate is issued. The company's bench-mounted hardness testers consist of IRHD and durometer scale instruments. (Wallace Wal·lace , Alfred Russel 1823-1913.
