The EEOC filed the suit against the dealership's owner, West Covina Motors Inc., in August 2002.

In a statement issued through its attorney, Mairen Kelly at Fisher & Phillips LLP in Irvine, Clippinger Chevrolet said, "Our insurance carrier agreed to a monetary settlement in order to bring expensive litigation to a quick conclusion."
