Happy hour at the Roof Garden.


This summer, hotel guests and locals will be able to enjoy the Roof Garden restaurant as the newest happy hour hot spot. Signature cocktails like The Peninsula Mojito, made with Myers Platinum Rum, accompany refreshing summer fare such as grilled shrimp with watercress watercress, hardy perennial European herb (Nasturtium officinale) of the family Cruciferae (mustard family), widely naturalized in North America, found in or around water. Often cultivated commercially for the small, pungent leaflets, it is used as a peppery salad green or garnish. Other plants of the genus are sometimes called watercress and are used similarly. Watercress was formerly used as a domestic remedy and against scurvy., radish radish, herbaceous plant (Raphanus sativus) belonging to the family Cruciferae (mustard family), with an edible, pungent root sliced in salads or used as a relish. It is thought to be native to China; it spread to the Mediterranean area before Greek times and to the New World in the early 16th cent. There are many varieties, with white, red, or black roots of different shapes and sizes, some quite large., and cilantro with lime pepper dressing, and the sweeping views of Beverly Hills and Century City. Other selections include Frozen Lemonade, a refreshing blended combination of Ketel One Vodka, Cointreau Cointreau: see liqueur., and fresh lemonade, or a luxe twist on a new classic with the Granny Smith Martini, made with Belvedere Belvedere (bĕl`vədēr, Ital. bālvādĕ`rā), court of the Vatican named after a villa built (1485–87) for Innocent VIII. vodka. Heartier dining options include a petite New York steak with asparagus asparagus, perennial garden vegetable (Asparagus officinalis) of the family Liliaceae (lily family), native to the E Mediterranean area and now naturalized over much of the world. As in the other species of this Old World genus of succulent plants, the stems are green and function as leaves, while the leaves themselves are reduced to small scales. The tender shoots of asparagus are cut and eaten in the spring. and scallion scallion: see onion. salad with avocado and truffle vinaigrette, or grilled Thai-style chicken wings with marinated cucumbers.
