Intergraph Systems South East Asia, an exclusive representative of US-based Intergraph Corporation (Nasdaq:INGR), announced today that Hanoi Post and Telecommunications (HNPT), a division of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications, has accepted and begun deploying Intergraph's communications-specific Geospatial Resource Management (GRM)-enabling technology for outside plant management, G/Comms. The system is designed to make investment and planning tasks more efficient, while improving the overall management of the HNPT telecommunications network for the Hanoi area. The comprehensive fast-track project was completed in approximately 18 months, from contract award to site acceptance.

The multimillion dollar turnkey implementation involved project management; integration of multiple hardware, software, and database components; imagery and basemaps; network data collection and conversion; and a comprehensive training, technology transfer, and maintenance program. To facilitate seamless workflows between various divisions in the organization, Intergraph also developed a Bill-of-Quantity, Demand Forecasting system and related interfaces and modules.

With complete redundancy and fail-safe options, the G/Comms environment will provide a continuously updated model, enabling multiple users throughout the organization to have instant access to the most recent network facility and customer assignment information.
