Hanley Wood acquires titles from VNU Business Media.Hanley Wood LLC (Washington, D.C.) has acquired two magazines, including "Architecture" and "Architectural Lighting" from VNU Business Media (New York). No terms of the deal were given. Launched in 1913, "Architecture" was published monthly for a controlled circulation of almost 88,000 architects, owners, corporate executives, general managers, designers, staff engineers and draftspersons. Editorial served the architecturally designed construction and engineering markets, as well as other businesses and industries related to the field. "Architecture" will immediately be merged into Hanley Wood's "Architect" magazine, which debuts this month. "Architectural Lighting" was launched in 1986 and is published seven times a ear for a controlled circulation of 25,000 professionals in the lighting industry including lighting design, architectural engineering, architecture, landscape, engineering, interior design, construction management, energy services, and lighting manufacturers and distributors. Hanley Wood Business Media President Peter Goldstone said that the launch of "Architect" and the purchase of "Architectural Lighting" "accelerates our strategy to expand aggressively into the non-residential/commercial market.
