Hammer & Nail evicted. (Weekly Specialty Beer Report).

Hammer & Nail Brewers of Oakville, CT, a well-regarded microbrewery, has shut down after being evicted and having its property seized by order of a state marshal.

The action was taken in connection with a delinquent water and sewer bill owed to the Watertown Water and Sewer Authority, according to the water authority's superintendent The water company would not make public details of the unpaid bill, which totaled at least $16,000.

Signs on the brewery said the company's assets were being "seized by virtue of attachment and or execution" of a tax warrant.
