LLC - Logical Link Control
 issued a report that reflects a stunning 100% increase in Downtown sales for March 2003 compared to the same 31-day period in 2002. Halstead reported sales for the Downtown market below 42nd St. totaling more than $36.5 million in March 2003, double the $18 million sales in March 2002.

The figures represent a significant achievement for brokers in Halstead's two Downtown residential sales offices, located at 784 Broadway and 451 West Broadway.

This report was prepared by Stephen G. Kliegerman, Halstead executive director of sales for Downtown.

In March 2003 Halstead's Downtown agents closed 16 deals for more than $1 million, compared to just two $1 million-plus deals the previous year;

The combined number of Halstead brokers in the firm's Downtown offices grew to 87 from 80;

The average price per square foot for Downtown properties rose 7%, from $583.04 in March 2002 to $623.93 in March 2003.

This information represents Downtown sales by agents based in Halstead's Soho and Village residential sales offices. The report does not reflect deals above 42nd St. made by Halstead's downtown brokers, nor does it include sales for Downtown properties made by Halstead's Uptown agents.
