) Fluid Systems Division has been awarded contracts by Statoil valued in excess of $193 million for cementing services and drilling and completion fluids. The initial contract duration is two years with additional extension options of three two-year periods.

The fluids, pumping and cementing services will be supplied by the bases at Dusavik, near Stavanger; Floro, north of Bergen; Kristiansund, in western Norway; Norne, in the north of Norway; and Hammerfest, in the far northern Norway.

The Scope of Work includes drilling fluids Noun 1. drilling fluid - a mixture of clays and chemicals and water; pumped down the drill pipe to lubricate and cool the drilling bit and to flush out the cuttings and to strengthen the sides of the hole
drilling mud
 and drilling waste management, cementing services and completion fluids and pumping services in the following fields: Sleipner/Volve, Visund, Snorre, Tordis/Vigdis, Tyrihans, Heidrun, Asgard and exploration drilling.

In addition, the contract includes the cementing services and completion fluids and pumping services in the following fields: Statfjord, Statfjord satellites, Gullfaks satellites, Kvitebjorn/Valemon and the cementing services in the Norne field.
