EXTON, Pa. -- Hunt Auctions, Inc. will offer the personal collection of 3 time All-Star and World Championship manager Leo Durocher
    Leo Ernest Durocher (July 27 1905 — October 7 1991), nicknamed Leo the Lip, was an American infielder and manager in Major League Baseball. Upon his retirement, he ranked fifth all-time among managers with 2,009 career victories, and second only to John McGraw
     during its August 19th & 20th live sports memorabilia The term sports memorabilia usually refers to anything that can be directly connected to a sports event or personality. These items are generally gathered by fans of the particular sport, athlete or team that the item signifies or by collectors who find value in the rarity  auction in Exton, PA.

    Durocher played in the Major Leagues for 17 years beginning with the Yankees in the 1920s followed by the Reds, Cardinals, Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers. Durocher's legacy may be defined by 24 years as a manager following his playing days. He managed 3,740 games with 4 teams; the Brooklyn Dodgers, the Astros, the Cubs and the NY Giants. His Hall of Fame career included managing the Giants to a World Championship in 1954. Many of the items for auction reflect the baseball greats Durocher played with and managed. Durocher died in 1991 at 86. He was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1994.

    In addition to Durocher's collection, Hunt Auctions will offer 1,166 items to the collecting public including a Roberto Clemente Pirates This is a list of known pirates, buccaneers, corsairs, privateers, and others involved in piracy. This list includes both captains and prominent crew members.
