Haldex Receives Nomination for an Additional Global All-Wheel Drive Platform, Increasing the Total Value of the Account With 800 MSEK to 2 BSEK.

) and Electronic Limited Slip Differential A limited slip differential (LSD) is a modified or derived type of differential gear arrangement that allows for some difference in rotational velocity of the output shafts, but does not allow the difference in speed to increase beyond a preset amount.  (Haldex eLSD) to two major light-vehicle platforms, starting 2008.

Following the initial breakthrough last year as announced on October 26 in 2005, Haldex has won sourcing for a second global All-Wheel Drive platform from a leading Tier 1 supplier. Deliveries are scheduled to start in 2008 and the estimated combined value of the business for both platforms amounts to 2 BSEK.

The Haldex LSC and eLSD product range offers a powerful platform solution to Tier 1 or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  customers by allowing for hardware utilization and modularization across brands, thus eliminating cost and complexity. Customization is achieved through employment of trademarked controls and algorithms, developed in-house by Haldex Engineering.

Haldex will use its existing global manufacturing footprint to serve the vehicle programs slated for production but will significantly increase installed capacity in Mexico to meet requirements for North America.
