Hal Cogger elected president, C. Herbert Emilson elected vice chairman of The Colonial Group.


BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 1994--The Colonial Group Inc. directors have announced that Harold Harold, 1022?–1066, king of England (1066). The son of Godwin, earl of Wessex, he belonged to the most powerful noble family of England in the reign of Edward the Confessor. Through Godwin's influence Harold was made earl of East Anglia.  W. Cogger has been elected president of The Colonial Group, the Boston-based family of mutual funds.

Cogger is currently a director The Colonial Group and president of its Colonial Management Associates Inc. subsidiary. He joined Colonial in 1983 and is a member of the Executive Committee. He was named executive vice president of Colonial Management Associates in 1989 and president in 1993.
