Cheers to the August special issue on black Catholics. As a lay person active in Haitian ministry, I was impressed with Francois Pierre-Louis' article ("The rhythm of the faithful") and envious en·vi·ous  
adj.
1. Feeling, expressing, or characterized by envy: "At times he regarded the wounded soldiers in an envious way....
 that in my Boston area chaplaincy, if it weren't for a gentleman who at the end of Mass opened a red and blue umbrella, Haitian Flag Day would have gone unnoticed.

Though I commend the article, Pierre Louise neglected to mention the Brooklyn-based National Center of the Haitian Apostolate a·pos·to·late
