Haights Cross puts Oakstone on block.


In its continuing evolution away from the newsletter field, Haights Cross Communications Inc. this month announced that it intends to sell its Oakstone Publishing unit.

* Oakstone Wellness, founded in 1988 and acquired by HCC in 1998, which publishes five newsletters and other wellness-education products.

In 2003 HCC sold Oakstone's Andrews Noun 1. Andrews - United States naturalist who contributed to paleontology and geology (1884-1960)
Roy Chapman Andrews
 Publishing unit to West and Oakstone Legal and Business to Progressive Business Publications.

Oakstone Publishing had 2003 revenue of $18.2 million.
