Hahn and Villaraigosa to Make Their Views Heard with L.A. Voters in Live Debate Hosted by Univision 34 and La Opinion.


WHAT:     Angelenos will have one last opportunity to hear the views
          of incumbent Mayor James K. Hahn and candidate Councilmember
          Antonio Villaraigosa during the only Spanish-language live
          televised debate on Saturday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m.

          The debate will be conducted by a panel of renowned
          Univision 34 and La Opinion journalists and will address
          issues of importance to residents of Los Angeles.

          The commercial free live televised debate will air on
          KMEX-TV, Channel 34 and simulcast on KTNQ 1020 AM. Complete
          coverage and analysis will be published by La Opinion on
          Sunday, April 24, 2005.

INFORMATION FOR THE PRESS: Media credentials will be required. The
media room will be equipped with AV Press Bridge and video screens.
Media can begin setting up at 9:15 a.m. The broadcast media pool is
KMEX-TV, Channel 34 ("Univision"), which will provide feed to the
media room. Television broadcast rights are exclusively licensed to
Univision. Excerpts may be used only after Univision has completed its
entire original broadcast. Excerpts may not exceed four minutes in any
one newscast. Each excerpt must be accompanied by a ten-second supered
visual credit reading "Courtesy of Univision" (in Spanish, "Cortesia
de Univision") and appearing in the corner opposite to its on-screen
logo, which logo may under no circumstances be removed from the
excerpt.
