Hackett is CREW's 'Woman of Year'.

Veronica "Ronne" Hackett, Cofounder of the Clarett Group, has been named as CREW * NY's "Woman of the Year" it was announced by Victoria W. Kahn, President of the organization. She will be honored at a dinner on Nov. 16 at The Union League Club.

"The 'Woman of the Year' is an exceptional, professional woman whose

achievements deserve the recognition and commendation of her peers," said Kahn in making the announcement. "Ronne's entire career exemplifies the achievement of women within the commercial real estate industry. And, she is an outstanding example of a woman who gives back to our industry as demonstrated by her true commitment to mentoring other women."

The Clarett Group buys, develops, and redevelops properties in urban areas. With Fidelity Management as its equity partner, the firm has just completed The Montrose, a 22-story residential building. Clarett also has a joint-venture with Post Properties to develop high-end, multifamily projects in the New York area.

Keynote speaker for the Nov. 16 dinner will be Esther Wachs Book, author of the just-released book, "Why the Best Man for the Job is a Woman." Tickets for the dinner are $2,500 per table of 10, $200 for members and $250 for non members.
