Dallas Habitat for Humanity executive director Rex Spivey opened the dedication ceremony with a prayer asking for a blessing on the Hutchinsons, their home and the volunteers who built it. Mr. Leonard thanked First Horizon for its contributions to Habitat for Humanity, saying, "By building this home, you're not just helping these wonderful people, you're helping generations to come."

Accepting the keys and turning to the volunteers, Mr. Hutchinson said, "This is not just our home, this is y'all's home. We hope you'll come back and visit us." Mrs. Hutchinson added, "I prayed to the Lord for a home, and you've helped us get this beautiful home built."

Mr. Baker told the gathering, "We're all about helping people afford homes. We believe that home ownership is a great foundation for community growth. We've committed $2 million over five years to Habitat for Humanity, and so far we're $400,000 into that. We look forward to helping many more families across the country."

Representing the more than 100 First Horizon employees who worked on the home over three months, four volunteers presented traditional house-warming gifts to dedicate the home. Mickey Davis presented a loaf of bread, Rich Comparato offered a bottle of wine, Wendi Childress added a poinsettia poinsettia: see spurge.

The home is in the Greenleaf Village residential development in Dallas, the largest private-public residential development partnership in the U.S. When completed, the development will include more than 300 homes.
