HYPERION SOFTWARE PRODUCT SUCCESSES, TECHNOLOGY ADVANCES PRESIDE AT USER CONFERENCE; 1,500 ATTENDEES, 700 COMPANIES PARTICIPATE; Customers, Analysts Praise New Hyperion Financials Accounting Line; Interest Level High on New Corporate Planning Budgeting Capabilities.

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 9, 1995--Hyperion(R) Software's (NASDAQ: HYSW) record-breaking gathering of 1,500 attendees representing more than 700 major corporations at its 11th Annual User Conference last week in Orlando, Fla., made it one of the largest customer conferences in the financial software industry.

Customers from Hyperion Software's 2,000-company user base had more than 125 different breakout sessions to select from and a variety of new, updated and/or recently acquired software products to test drive. More than 1,000 customers attended a total of 15 different user-to-user sessions, 800 performed test drives on the Hyperion Pillar line of corporate planning and budgeting products, and 500 customers viewed demonstrations of Hyperion Financials, the company's new client/server-based accounting software.

Gower also said that he had talked with several other Hyperion Software customers about the timing of moving their legacy accounting systems into new client/server-based solutions. Several financial analysts attending Hyperion Software's User Conference, such as W. Christopher Mortenson, managing director, Alex. Brown & Sons Incorporated, noted the overall enthusiasm of the extensive blue chip customer base. Customers of the new Hyperion Financials software chronicled their satisfaction with the robust new client/server line which the company promises to be the best accounting solution in the industry.
