"Demand for accurate, simple and fast age verification at the point-of-sale has probably never been greater. Law enforcement agencies A law enforcement agency (LEA) is a term used to describe any agency which enforces the law. This may be a local or state police, federal agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).  and communities nationwide are clamping down on those who knowingly, or unknowingly, sell adult products to minors. Over-worked parents, civic organizations and merchants are demanding greater accountability. Responsible merchants want help," said Kathy Crumley, vice president VAR relations, Hypercom Corporation. "Hypercom's ICE terminals with IDLogix software squarely address this growing concern, and finally take the time and guesswork out of age verification. Now, merchants can verify someone's age by simply swiping the consumer's magnetic-stripe driver's license, scanning the 2-D bar code, or keying in the birth date on the license onto Hypercom's ICE card payment terminals equipped with IDLogix software -- and also conduct traditional credit/debit transactions."

"With Hypercom, we are joining with the global leader of electronic payment technologies and products to jointly bring a much-needed application to the retail countertop. We take great pride in being the first identification authorization software provider to offer its application on the Hypercom ICE platform. This will be of enormous benefit to merchants seeking a solution to assist them in complying with the law," said Tony Sdao, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
