 HUNT MANUFACTURING REPORTS SECOND QUARTER 1992 RESULTS
 PHILADELPHIA, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Hunt Manufacturing Co.


(NYSE: HUN) reported today that net sales of $57 million for its second fiscal quarter ended May 31, 1992, were up 2.4 percent and net income of $3.2 million was up 8.8 percent above the 1991 second fiscal quarter results.
 Earnings per share increased to $.20 from $.18 reported in the prior year second fiscal quarter.
 Office product sales increased 3.9 percent during the second fiscal quarter 1992, led by sales of desktop accessories, which were up 10.7 percent and office furniture and electrical and mechanical products were also up slightly from the prior year.
 Art/craft products sales were essentially unchanged from last year's second quarter levels, while hobby craft sales were up 4.1 percent.
 For the first 6 months of fiscal 1992, net sales of $110 million were essentially flat, while net income of $5.4 million was up 12.1 percent compared to the first half of fiscal 1991 results. Earnings per share increased to $.34 from $.30 reported for the first half of fiscal 1991.
