HUMAN RIGHTS 101 Honors New York and New Jersey High School Students For Outstanding Human Rights Projects at Brooklyn Reception.Thirteen/WNET:
WHAT: High school students who have made outstanding
efforts to address human rights issues will be
honored for their participation in Thirteen/WNET New
York's HUMAN RIGHTS 101 initiative in a reception at
the International Center for Tolerance Education in
Brooklyn. Students from New York City, New Jersey
and upstate New York worked to address issues of
their choice, which included war, peace, hunger,
culture, homelessness, women's rights, civil rights,
immigration, and more through art, performance,
film, public events, and political advocacy. The
event will include a gallery of the students'
projects and student films.
HUMAN RIGHTS 101 is an initiative of Thirteen's
Education Department. Major support for HUMAN RIGHTS
