HUMAN RESOURCES GROUP GETS NEW BOARD.

SANTA CLARITA Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  - The Professionals in Human Resources The fancy word for "people." The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees.  Association's Santa Clarita and Antelope Valley's District 12 has elected new board officers for 2002.

Six Flags (NYSE: SIX) is the world's largest chain of amusement parks and theme parks and is headquartered in New York City. There are 20 such parks run by Six Flags.
 California and a PIHRA PIHRA Professionals in Human Resources Association  member since 1996, will lead the group as district chairwoman.

Todd Fergueson from the Child Care Resource Center in Van Nuys has been elected vice chairman, and Jenny Roney, the human resources manager for the city of Santa Clarita, will serve as director.

Other officers for 2001 are Shari Bisquera, treasurer; Dena Maloney, secretary; Cynthia Rogers, government affairs chairwoman; Jill Pankratz and Dan Roleder, co-program chairwoman and chairman; Deborah Twigg, professional development chairwoman; Kent Haney, membership chairman; Jackie Hartmann and Gay Hull, co-publicity chairwomen; Laura Kincaid, hospitality chairwoman; and Sonja Wendt, district Web master.

It offers updates and analyses of human resource and legislative issues as well as networking opportunities.
