HUFFY CORPORATION ELECTS NEW DIRECTOR

 DAYTON, Ohio, Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Huffy Corporation (NYSE: HUF) announced the election to the board of directors of Jack D. Michaels, president and chief executive officer, Hon Industries, to a term expiring in 1996. Michaels' election increases the number of directors from 12 to 13.
 Michaels joined Hon Industries in 1990 as president and was promoted to president and chief executive officer in 1991. Michaels began his business career in 1960 with International Harvester Company (Navistar) and held various manufacturing and general management positions, both in the U.S. and Europe, with increasing responsibility. He subsequently held executive positions with J. I. Case Company (a subsidiary of Tenneco Company) prior to being recruited as president and chief executive officer of Hussman Corporation (a subsidiary of Whitman Corporation).
 Huffy Corporation is a diversified manufacturer d? supplier for bicycles, basketball backboards, lawn and garden tools, juvenile products and inventory, assembly and supplier services.
