"Although some companies are cutting back operations, we believe that Long Island continues to offer phenomenal opportunities for businesses of all kinds and sizes," says Bob Arcoro, president of Arkaid, Inc., which own the metropolitan area HQ franchise.

"For several years we've been seeking to enter the market. So when we saw the opportunity at EAB Plaza, we snapped it up. EAB Plaza is a marquee building. It's the Rockefeller Center Rockefeller Center, complex of buildings in central Manhattan, New York City, between 48th and 51st streets and Fifth Ave. and the Ave. of the Americas (Sixth Ave.). With over 150 facilities in 14 countries, HQ is the largest executive suite firm in the world. HQ also has a strong presence in the Manhattan market with seven centers is some of the City's best addresses.

HQ plans to continue its close working relationship with the real estate community. "Brokers know that the space requirements of many customers are too small for major buildings like EAB Plaza," explains Arcoro. "But instead of failing the client and losing the relationship, they often call us. We take over from there and pay generous, upfront commissions anytime a lease is signed.

"We're another service brokers can bring to the table. By helping brokers serve their clients, we build good will for the future," says Arcoro. "After all, HQ is the only route for many businesses that want to open an office in a top address like EAB Plaza. Clients who use HQ to build their business typically remember the service of the broker who took the time to call us."

HQ plans to continue expansion on Long Island. Arcoro expects to have three centers operating within two years.
