Under terms of a new agreement, HP will distribute Novell software that is integrated with selected versions of its industry-leading HP NetServer family of PC servers. The combination will give customers complete, one-stop networking solutions, including universal and remote access to network-based applications and information on performance-leading systems that are easy to manage and highly available. HP's Pentium(R) and Pentium Pro-based HP NetServer systems provide new levels of power, manageability and ease of use. Novell products and technologies such as the NetWare Web Server, Novell Directory Services (NDS), GroupWise XTD messaging and NetWare Connect and NetWare Mobile provide increased connectivity, simplified network administration and management and low cost of ownership. Together, the combined products will allow customers to set up, run and support business intranets and to provide access to the global Internet -- all quickly and easily. Under the agreement, HP will bundle and support a variety of Novell software with HP NetServer systems. HP expects to integrate the Novell software in a variety of ways designed to meet customers' needs for complete solutions that are quick and easy to set up, operate, support and upgrade.
