HP and GOW-MAC Sign HP 6890 Gas Chromatograph OEM Agreement.

, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 30, 1997--Hewlett-Packard Company and GOW-MAC Instrument Company today announced that they have signed an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  agreement for the HP 6890 gas chromatograph gas chromatograph

 (GC) system. The agreement allows GOW-MAC to privately label the GC with its own trademark. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

GOW-MAC intends to integrate the HP 6890 GC into gas-analysis systems for a variety of industries. For example, customers in semiconductor manufacturing can benefit from this integration since they are concerned about the effect of gas purity on product quality.
