Throughout the Louis Vuitton Cup and America's Cup events, visitors to the AmericaOne Web site will be able to select from exclusive images of the AmericaOne sailboat and crew in action, taken by Sharon Green Sharon Green (born around 1940 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American writer of science fiction, fantasy and romance.

She is a graduate of New York University. She is divorced with three adult sons.
, the official AmericaOne photographer. As the race progresses, new images will be photographed, scanned in high-resolution and posted to the Web site twice a week. To order these exclusive souvenir poster prints, visitors can select the desired images from the online photo gallery. The images are then instantaneously downloaded to HP Certified Print Centers around the globe. Here, the posters are printed in superb color using the HP DesignJet printing system -- large-format printers, inks and media -- and sent directly to the customer. The service costs just $19.95 (U.S.) per 24 inch x 36 inch poster.

"Our photographer will be capturing some of the most gripping moments of the race, and HP's online poster store will enable us to not only share the excitement with visitors to our Web site but also provide them with an exclusive souvenir."

To create the AmericaOne HP online poster store, HP has teamed with MediaFlex.com, a supplier of e-commerce solutions for the digital-printing industry. The company will create the online gallery of images on the AmericaOne Web site and manage order processing and fulfillment. This kind of alliance is an example of HP's move into providing electronic services on the Internet.

These posters also will be available throughout the race from HP's own large-format printing Web site at http://www.hp.com/go/designjet.

As IT sponsor to AmericaOne, HP also has provided the technology that will power the AmericaOne Web site. This includes an HP 9000 R-Class server with 256MB memory running on the HP-UX HP's version of Unix that runs on its 9000 family. It is based on SVID and incorporates features from BSD Unix along with several HP innovations.
