-- New HP Developers Program solutions, delivering the HP Mobile Printing Software Development Kit (SDK) for mobile printing and enabling companies such as PalmSource to add printing capabilities for the Palm OS(R) and Sony Ericsson to add print functionality to mobile devices and applications.

The solution allows mobile business users to be more productive by easily printing a broad range of documents from Pocket PC 2002 and RIM Blackberry devices.

The HP Mobile Enterprise Printing Solution integrates into existing wired network infrastructures and provides mobile access to any networked printer within an enterprise. HP Jetdirect 802.11 Wireless Print Servers

HP Jetdirect 802.11 print servers are the only print servers available to support 802.1x Extensible Authentication Protocol Extensible Authentication Protocol, or EAP, is a universal authentication framework frequently used in wireless networks and Point-to-Point connections. It is defined by RFC 3748.  (EAP (Extensible Authentication Protocol) A protocol that acts as a framework and transport for other authentication protocols. EAP uses its own start and end messages, but then carries any number of third-party messages between the client (supplicant) and access control ), including Cisco's LEAP implementation. The HP Developers Program enables developers and device vendors to add mobile print functionality based on the Print Services Interface standard.

The HP Developers Program is collaborating with PalmSource to enable printing for the Palm OS, while Sony Ericsson is enabling standards-based mobile printing from mobile phones to Bluetooth-enabled printers, including the HP Deskjet DeskJet is a brand name for inkjet printers manufactured by Hewlett-Packard Company. These printers range from small domestic to large industrial models, although the largest models in the range have generally been dubbed DesignJet.  450 printer.
